Elements and Performance Criteria

1. Plan and prepare for rig lease operations

1.1 Access, interpret and apply compliance documentation and ensure the work activity is compliant

1.2 Obtain, read, confirm and apply work instructions

1.3 Identify, manage and report all potential hazards

1.4 Resolve coordination requirements with others at the site prior to commencing and during work activities

1.5 Prepare tubular for well use/rig move, including placed in tiers (pipe bins)

1.6 Measure, label and record tubulars

1.7 Operate load shifting equipment correctly

1.8 Select and use/wear protective clothing and equipment

2. Operate pneumatic and electric power tools

2.1 Use pneumatic and electric power tools

2.2 Assist crew by supplying tools to the drill floor as required

3. Assist with loading, unloading and moving

3.1 Use approved safety approach

3.2 Use correct lifting techniques and use load shifting equipment

4. Assist with making up fluid/air injection requirements

4.1 Comply with safety data sheet

4.2 Assist with mixing of fluids or air injection requirements

4.3 Use safety equipment correctly in event of personal contact with hazardous materials
